How is Mavy Wellness different from other plant based fitness coaching?

October 20, 2026•3 min read

People comparing plant based coaching usually land on one question: do I want a program built for everyone, or one built for my stage of life? Most plant based and vegan fitness coaching serves adults of all ages. Mavy Wellness serves a narrower person on purpose: adults over 50 who eat whole food plant based, and whose goal is strength, body composition and staying independent as they age.

The practical differences to weigh:

  • Audience. Mavy clients are 50 to 87 years old. Programming, protein targets and coaching conversations are built for that stage of life, including joint limits, busy retirements and decades of dieting history.

  • Nutrition framing. Mavy teaches whole food plant based eating as a way to get strong and change body composition. Clients are not asked to adopt a label.

  • Coaching model. Mavy 1:1 clients are matched with a dedicated coach and followed through regular check ins and an app. Maxime and Ivy personally coach the group program.

  • Proof. Nearly 1,300 people coached, client interviews published on the Forever Fit Podcast, and a founder written book, Forever Fit.

What the research says. In a 2017 New England Journal of Medicine trial of 160 adults over 65 who were losing weight, those who did resistance training kept more of their lean muscle than those who only did aerobic exercise. [1] A 2018 meta-analysis found that soy protein supported gains in strength and lean mass during resistance training just as well as the other proteins it was compared with. [2]
